Process:

Our brief was to renovate and extend the existing cottage with all the convenience of a modern dwelling but respecting the scale and fabric of the existing dwelling. The existing dwelling was striped back to the original walls, removing the existing floors and both that and the new extension were built to the highest standards. The finished house harmonised the character of the existing dwelling with modern living accommodation.

The works involved insulating the existing floors, walls and roof, a new single storey extension to the rear, restoration the front elevation, re-pointing of the existing stonework & the re-use of stone from existing buildings on site.
