Brief:

This project comprised the construction of a three-storey residential building containing 12 No. A+ rated apartments at Flower Hill, Navan. The development was designed to provide high-quality, energy-efficient apartments within a compact urban form, contributing to the delivery of sustainable housing in a well-established residential area.

The building was constructed using modern construction methods and designed to achieve strong thermal performance through enhanced insulation, airtightness, and energy-efficient building services. Apartment layouts were carefully planned to maximise natural light, functional living spaces, and long-term durability, resulting in comfortable homes with low running costs for the future occupants. 

Fingal Planning Consultants were appointed to provide statutory and construction stage services across the development. Our role included duties as Assigned Certifier under the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations, as well as Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP). These roles involved coordinating compliance with Building Regulations, implementing the inspection plan, and managing construction health and safety throughout the project lifecycle. As this is a multi-occupant building a Fire Safety Certificate and Disablity Access Certificate were also required.

The completed development delivers 12 high-performance, low-energy apartments, demonstrating the benefits of sustainable apartment design and modern construction in an urban setting.
