Case Study: Shanganagh Vale Houses

Brief:

This residential development comprised four detached, contemporary, A2 rated timber frame houses designed to deliver exceptional energy efficiency, comfort, and long-term sustainability. The homes were constructed using modern timber frame construction, incorporating high levels of insulation, airtightness, and energy-efficient building heating and ventilation systems to achieve excellent thermal performance. Each dwelling was carefully designed to maximise natural light and create bright, practical family homes with low running costs.


Fingal Planning Consultants were appointed to provide statutory and construction stage services across the development. Our role included duties as Assigned Certifier under the Building Control (Amendment) Regulations, as well as Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP). These roles involved coordinating compliance with Building Regulations, implementing the inspection plan, and managing construction health and safety responsibilities throughout the project duration.


The completed scheme delivers four high-performance, low-energy homes built to modern standards, demonstrating the benefits of sustainable residential design and timber frame housing.
